Hello all,
This is Luke, Anake 16/17 grad and current Immersion year 2 student. I am writing to you an invitation to gather and welcome in the darkest night of the year, or to celebrate the shortest day of the year. If you find yourself idle, not wanting to be alone, or just want to celebrate this special time, come join in on a Fire at Moonshine Creek in Duvall. Gathering around a Fire with one to many individuals has been a favorite way to connect with myself and with others. I’m sure many of you can understand that. During the winter months, it can really be a center piece as the darkness of the Northern Hemisphere lingers, and as we move through the darkness within ourselves. Christine, Steward of Moonshine creek and a grad of the Immersion, is graciously opening up her gazebo fire for this occasion. We will be holding down the fort for the evening, and you may come and go as you please. This will be a time to connect if you wish, but also to be yourself. Come as you are. Laughs will surely be in the mix. Tears are also welcome. You could simply come and sit with the fire. The intention is to let the darkness work its magic with fire as a guide. Below are more details to orient you to the gathering and space. Hope to see some of you there. Where: Moonshine creek, 18827 Mt. View Rd NE, Duvall WA, 98019 -if traveling up Mountain View from town, look for the mailbox with a bee on the north side of the road just before you hit the power lines. Turn left and enter through the opened black gate -there is ample parking but again, please carpool if you can. I would also ask in being mindful about where you park so people can come and go in an organized fashion When: Tonight, December 21st , 7-11 pm Who: yourselves, and potentially a plus one who might wish to engage in this manner. Christine Deppe and myself will be hosting. What: Bring: - something that would light up or engage with the night — lights, candles, your voices, a musical instrument. - your favorite snack to enjoy and share! I’ll have some popcorn chips ;) - a drink if you wish - some good firewood if you have it In Gratitude for Darkness, Luke

After a lovely gathering a couple weekends ago, I am here to offer another space for us to meet and connect as graduates. Here is my previous email with updated information for this next gathering. Hope to see you there!
I am a recent grad of the Immersion and a former apprentice currently navigating my first year outside of what has been two very full and nourishing years. I am reaching out with an offering, hoping that there are folks like myself looking to meet with other grads who are feeling a longing for connection post-experience. Please join me and another recent grad, Christine, on Sunday the 10th of December from 1pm-4pm at Moonshine Creek (address below) to connect with other grads. Our intentions here are to allow space to connect with other folks in the grad community whom we may never have met, to share about what the leaving has been like, and to hear about what folks are longing for as they move into life outside of this rich experience. We want to hold space for the grief, joy, curiosity and whatever else is alive in folks as they continue to move through life after their year(s) in this program. If you graduated years ago, last year, are a current apprentice or student in year two, you are all welcome. We will come together with a song a little after 1 pm and have time for a group sit spot before sharing. There will be snacks available, feel free to bring something to share if you wish. Carpooling is encouraged. Please reply to me if you would like to come or if you are unable to make it but would like to join another time, I would love to get an idea of interest. Here are the details: Grad Gathering at Moonshine Creek, 18827 Mountain View Rd.
